Leadership Lab Tour 2026

Gender Justice League is bringing Trans Leadership Labs to seven cities across Washington State — free community trainings to build the storytelling and organizing skills we need to defeat IL26-001 and IL26-638.

As two anti-LGBTQ+ ballot initiatives threaten Washington students and families, Gender Justice League is hitting the road to bring free community trainings to every corner of the state.

The Leadership Lab Tour is a series of in-person workshops designed to help community members build skills for effectively telling our stories while protecting and uplifting one another. Each session is an evening (or afternoon) of community, education, and action — focused on equipping attendees with practical tools to have real conversations about IL26-001 and IL26-638 with the people in their lives.

After the Lab

Each Leadership Lab participant will be encouraged to have approximately 10 real conversations with friends, family, coworkers, and community members about the ballot initiatives. Volunteer follow-up support is available for anyone who wants help planning or carrying out those conversations.

This is how we win — not just with advertising, but with the deep, personal conversations that actually change minds. The research is clear: personal storytelling by people who are directly affected is the single most effective tool for shifting public opinion on civil rights.
