As two anti-LGBTQ+ ballot initiatives threaten Washington students and families, Gender Justice League is hitting the road to bring free community trainings to every corner of the state.
The Leadership Lab Tour is a series of in-person workshops designed to help community members build skills for effectively telling our stories while protecting and uplifting one another. Each session is an evening (or afternoon) of community, education, and action — focused on equipping attendees with practical tools to have real conversations about IL26-001 and IL26-638 with the people in their lives.
What to Expect
- Storytelling training — Learn how to share your story in ways that change hearts and minds, while protecting your privacy and emotional safety
- Conversation skills — Practice having the real conversations that move people — with neighbors, coworkers, family members, and friends
- Community connection — Meet other organizers in your region and build the local relationships that sustain long-term movements
- Action planning — Leave with a concrete plan to have approximately 10 conversations with people in your life about the ballot initiatives
All events are free and include food. Dietary accommodations and accessibility needs are welcome — just let us know when you register.
