Gender Justice League Action evaluates candidates for state and local office on their demonstrated commitment to the civil rights and safety of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse Washingtonians. We endorse candidates who show real commitment — not just rhetoric.
Our Endorsement Process
GJLA endorsements are based on a rigorous evaluation of each candidate's record, commitments, and platform. Endorsement is not automatic — it is earned.
We look at voting records and legislative history, public statements and commitments, willingness to meet with our community, demonstrated understanding of transgender rights issues, and electoral viability.
