SEATTLE, WA — February 2026 — Gender Justice League Action today announced its founding board of directors, which will provide governance, strategic direction, and organizational oversight as GJLA launches its first major campaign.

Danni Askini — Chair, Board of Directors
Danni Askini is the Founder and Executive Director of Gender Justice League, Washington State's leading transgender civil rights organization, which she has led for over a decade. In that role, she has won protections across 32+ state legislative sessions, testified before the United Nations Human Rights Council on transgender rights, and built Washington State's most prominent annual Trans Pride celebration.
Danielle co-chairs the No Hate in WA State coalition and brings over 25 years of civil rights advocacy experience to her role as GJLA Board Chair.

About the Board's Mandate
As a 501(c)(4) organization, GJLA's board is responsible for ensuring the organization operates in compliance with all applicable laws, maintains strong financial controls, and pursues its mission with strategic clarity and accountability.
The founding board will serve until the organization conducts its first formal elections. Board terms and governance structures are detailed in the organization's bylaws.
